Born in 1980, Ulrike Stolte creates textile collages, applications, objects, works of graphic art, and architectural art pieces. Her textile collages, pictorial and graphic masterworks, generate an exciting dialogue with the textile forms installed in the space. Ornament and figure appear as motifs before organic patterns of form and color. From this rhythmic interplay, an individual cosmos with visual tones emerges.
"The motivation and drive behind my creative work are collections, disordered arrays, and the chaos of shapes, colors, patterns and lines. Through careful, targeted actions, I resolve them into ordered, harmonic, and energy-laden entities." (Stolte, 2009)
