Especially in the Schillerkiez, around the Schillerprom-enade, Neukölln is particularly young: 40% of the inhabitants here are between 18 and 25 years old, another 17.5% are between 35 and 45 years old.
In the immediate vicinity, numerous cafés and international restaurants offer an in-comparable variety. On Saturdays, people meet at the popular Schillermarkt for a shopping spree. In addition, there are numerous shopping opportunities in the immedi-ate vicinity, for example around Herrmannplatz and the Neukölln town hall. In summer, sunny days and beautiful sunsets can be enjoyed to the full in Volkspark Hasenheide or on Tempelhofer Feld. The transport links are also convenient: the Bod-dinstraße and Leinestraße underground stations are both less than ten minutes‘ walk away, and the nearest slip road to the A100 city motorway is just two kilometres away.
