The residential building, built around 1905 in the reform architecture style, is located at Zimmerstraße 14, 14a in the historic Spandau Wilhelmstadt. Instead of rich facade decorations, which were still typical for the Gründerzeit architecture from the 19th century, the exterior of the building is characterized by clear, modern shapes: The facade features wide balconies from the first to the third floor. Muntin windows of various shapes and sizes and offset double pointed gables on the sides of the facade give the house its own character.
Entering Zimmerstraße 14, 14a, a nostalgic, homey ambiance in a green and red color palette replaces the modern, simple gray of the facade. Via the two separate entrances, the well-kept staircases lead to the 16 apartments, which extend from the ground floor to the 3rd floor. The charm of the old building can also be found here in the curved, decorated door frames of the apartment doors, the painted muntin windows and turned banisters. The quiet inner courtyard is enclosed in a U-shape by the front building and two side wings. The attic with its striking oval windows is currently not developed. Two more apartments with elevators could be built here.*
The 16 apartments with 2 to 3 rooms and living spaces between approx. 43-76 m² offer a combination of Berlin's old building flair and modern feel-good comfort. Couples, singles, and small families will find a comfortable home here with many design options.
