The building, constructed in 1910, consists of a front building, a side wing and a rear building with a total of 30 residential and 2 commercial units distributed over ground floor, three upper floors and an already developed attic. The building has a full basement and a communal terrace on the roof of the side wing. The building was completely renovated between 1999 and 2001 with subsidies from the Investitionsbank Berlin. A corresponding subsidy contract with rent control existed here until 2021. Heating and hot water are provided by a gas central heating system.

Brunnenstraße crosses the Mitte district in a northerly direction and is thus centrally located between the popular neighbourhoods of Rosenthaler Platz, Zionskirchplatz and Ackerstraße.
