Berlin’s Steglitz district has many faces. Schloßstraße is an important shopping and leisure mile, not just for residents of Steglitz and Zehlendorf. Wonderful cafés and stylish restaurants can be found in the side streets, small shops and stores complement the large fashion and department stores as well as the shopping centers between Steglitz City Hall and Breslauer Platz in Friedenau. There are many options for sports activities or relaxing walks, e.g. the Steglitz City Park or the banks of the Teltow Canal. The ice skating rink and the Lankwitz public swimming pool are located in the immediate vicinity of the Brandenburgische Straße. The district has excellent schools and a very good network of doctors and hospitals. Together with many other plus points, this explains the growing popularity of the district, which more and more New Berliners have discovered for themselves. Steglitz is not only an alternative to the central districts. Steglitz combines the typical Berlin attitude to life with an exceptionally high quality of life. For those who like a contemplative and secluded atmosphere, but also want to be close to the city, Brandenburgische Straße 18 is the right part of the capital.
Public transport (bus) is within walking distance. You can reach City West in 40 minutes from the underground station Rathaus Steglitz. The city motorway is about 10 minutes away and if you are heading south, you can reach the A10 motorway in 30 minutes.
